In Louisiana, St. Charles Parish and Plaquemines Parish have both adopted resolutions uplifting CSFI’s multi-peril platform, signing on as a thought partner to CSFI’s white paper, and expressing support for the resulting Commission on Natural Disaster Risk Management and Insurance Act (H.R.8439).

St. Charles Parish’s resolution Resolution No. 2026-0210, sponsored by all councilmembers, President Matthew Jewell, and the Department of Planning & Zoning, was adopted on July 13.  Plaquemines Parish Council unanimously approved Resolution No. 26-235, introduced by Councilmember Schulz, at their July 23 meeting.  This follows Jefferson Parish’s Resolution No. 148563  passed in May.

All resolutions “support the continued work of Congress, CSFI, and other organizations” towards actions at the Federal, State, or local levels that affect disaster risk management and insurance.

CSFI thanks our parish partners and parish councilmembers, and CSFI is eager to collaborate with any local government on language for a resolution.
